Serious Incident Emergency Simulation

Dear NW Navigator employees,   are you ready
Today the NW Navigator core team at WHQ experienced multiple simulated serious incidents (emergencies) staged through our insurance carrier. This simulation was very realistic with frantic mothers and students calling in, an injured driver and a motorcoach which landed in a river and was taking on water.  Simultaneously, another motorcoach was trapped in a dangerous situation with missing passengers.  The interesting thing that occurred during this simulation was that one of our actual charters had a breakdown and so the team had to deal with reality at the same time.

We are very happy with the quick thinking and response of the team, which included our new Dispatcher/Operations Manager, Ron, Tim our Safety trainer and Morrie, our Bend Manager.

We would like to thank the team for their willingness to participate and learn throughout this very stressful and realistic exercise. It was a great opportunity to test our Emergency Response plan, discover weaknesses and improve our plan for serious incidents, should one ever occur.

Deb, Irmgard and Darwin were also part of our simulation and did a great job fielding calls and supporting the safety team.

We put passenger and driver safety at the top of our priorities and these simulations have proven invaluable to that end.

Great job team! Crisis-Training-300x199
